Christy is a senior marketing and communications practitioner, with over 20 years’ experience leading and developing programs across industries, focusing on professional services, financial and insurance, and technology/telecom. Christy’s areas of expertise include public relations, marketing, branding, digital marketing, content strategy and development, sales and customer experience, investor relations, internal communications and corporate social responsibility programs.
In her most recent role as Director, Marketing at Norton Rose Fulbright, a multi-national corporate law firm, Christy led a team of marketing and business developmentprofessionals developing and implementing strategies focused on the financial services, technology, and business law (M&A, corporate governance and shareholder activism) segments.
Christy also previously held the role of Senior Director, Marketing & Communications Inc. at Morneau Shepell Inc., where she led a team of 30 strategic marketing, communications and business development professionals. She developed, championed and implemented client-focused strategies for the professional services human resources organization.
In addition to acting as a Partner at Thirty Dash Communications, Christy’s agency experience includes consulting for Kaiser Lachance Communications Inc. and Fleishman Hillard Canada. Clients have included ADP, Abbott Humira, Astra-Zeneca Crestor, Bayer, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, CIBC, Dr. Oetker, Etihad Airways, MS Society of Canada, Ontario Ministry of Health, Pfizer, Royal Canin, Royal LePage, The Organizing Committee for the 2015 Pan Am Games and Travelers Insurance Company of Canada.
Earlier corporate positions include Director, Client Experience, and Director, Sales & Business Development at CIBC; Vice-President, Marketing at VenGrowth Capital Partners; and Director, Sales & Marketing Programs at CompanyDNA. Christy has been instrumental in increasing revenue, acquiring market share, and implementing a variety of strategic initiatives.
Christy earned her MBA at McMaster University’s deGroote School of Business, with a concentration in Strategic Marketing, and minor concentrations in Finance and Information Systems. Christy also holds an undergraduate degree in Art History (Honours) from McMaster University, and completed the Leadership in Strategic Marketing program at Queen’s University.
